Born 1964, Ian has been writing for Sportfishing magazines since 1995 and has been featured in both local as well as overseas publications such as the French magazine“Voyages de Pêche”. He is fluent in French , English and Spanish and was for many years (1990-2010) Consultant for the Federal Government IBAMA´s PNDPA (National Sportfishing Development Program).

He has taken part in several televised fishing programs in Brazil (Caminhos da Pesca, Pesca Alternativa, Pesca na Amazonia) and overseas TV programs (Monster Fish, River Monsters, Spanish Fly, Chaine Seasons etc….)

Ian-Arthur is the sole Representative in Brazil for the IGFA (International Game Fish Association) in action along Brazil´s Amazon region. He is one of the guides that will host overseas visitor groups on these fishing excursions.

He has been a fishing trip organizer over several regions of Brazil since 1993 and has an,in-depth knowledge of all rivers with potential for Sportfishing Tourism throughout the Country.

He currently resides in Manaus from where he assists and coordinates groups and fishing excursions.
